About Us
AgLAM was formerly known as Committee on Standardisation of Soil, Plant and Fertiliser Analysis and it has a long history in organising proficiency testing programmes on soil, plant and fertiliser analysis with the original aim of improving laboratory testing accuracy among participating laboratories in Malaysia. The programme has been extended to include compost, effluent and palm oil analysis. Recent efforts were also centred on new improved analytical techniques and methods that could be automated resulting in improved speed, accuracy and more environmentally friendly. The other objectives of the association are to function as a forum to promote good laboratory practices (GLP) through laboratory accreditation of MS ISO/IEC 17025 as well as to review and update on the latest development in the analytical technique of agricultural testing.
Objective
- To be updated on the latest development in the analytical techniques of soil, plant, fertiliser compost, effluent and palm oil.
- To present new research findings in the areas of analytical techniques and agronomic practices.
- To be updated on current issues, practices and developments in laboratory management, instrumentation, instrumentation, safety and quality.
